  Here's the thing. Love this system. But this morning trying to board the route 2 bus at about 10:05am I brought my bike bc buses don't go to where I'm going. That's fine. But I can't fit my bike tires into the rack. Thats understandable. Mountain bikes are pretty big. After 3 tries, the driver honks at me and I ask him if I can bring the bike on the bus with me because it won't fit. He barks "No!" At me as if I've offended him and shuts the door in my face. I just think that bike racks that include all bikes are needed, or some drivers with human decency are needed.

  Buses 1/2 an hour late. Or early, hard to tell. No Sunday service for some lines. If I take the bus, I plan to arrive with 1 1/2 hour spare time for a trip that takes 10 minutes to drive. Drivers don't know their own stops and no intercom or driver announces any stops. It's true that drivers drive past people waiting at stops as if they feel like it, then stop at the next stop and let young high people on without paying. (I suppose they assume since it's a small town no one will say anything?) No google maps connection. What can I say? If you live in Santa Fe, get a bicycle. If you can't ride a bicycle, you'll have to move to another town.

  They seriously need to fix their routings and schedule availability. The city bus system claims that it doesn't have money to operate properly but yet allow high school dropouts,drunk and vagrants to jump on the bus without paying their fare? These school kids play hooky all day long and go shoplifting at the malls and they ride around for free? There is something very bad when you see the handicapped paying their share when they should be getting better service! Bus routes don't run on weekends at regular hours and no service on some routes on Sunday? RIDICULOUS! I guess these people think that there are some of us that don't have to WORK on Saturdays and Sundays!!!! There are those of us that work on the weekends,Labor Day, 4th of July and almost ever single holiday. On some occasions some of these drivers DO NOT turn on their signs to indicate what route they are driving and where they are going? I have seen drivers just ignore people at bus stops and keep on driving with little regard. Another thing that does not make sense is all the holidays that are NOT holidays! At my work we only have Thanksgiving and Christmas OFF, not these imaginary holidays that people think are important. It's a messed up system in a messed up city that calls itself the Capital of New Mexico? It's pretty lame that other capitals have their act together!!! The moron who answers the phone is a complete jerk. I had to call him out on his bs an demand to speak to his supervisor immediately. I had to remind him that the CITY and us tax payers are the one who pay his salary. He stopped being a smart ass pretty quick.
